So, anyways. I started writing this yesterday to continue with the Returned blog, but I had to go to bed.
SCHOOL:
School is fine in general. I get bored rather easily, because the classes I can understand like Math, English, and Biology, I have already learned what we are learning now. But it's not so bad, because then I can actually remind people I am smart in theory, I just can't speak their language. Because many people relate my italian to the idea that I must also just be slow in the head. But chemistry is amazing. They have full labs and everyone has to have a lab coat and everything. I had to drop out of physics for the moment which makes me sad. But, I didn't understand a thing, and I have to pass the year. So, I will try to join back in in a few months.
THE HOST FAMILY: I was having a few problems with. But I think they were just based on the general cultural differences. So, I am stickin to them because they care about my safety and want me to have a good experience, and that's all I ask for.
OTHER STUFF:
I am sick. AGAIN. That means twice in the last 5-6 weeks. I've had worse, but still, I miss out on valuable time here stuck in bed.
My italian (supposedly) improves everyday. I say supposedly because it doesn't feel that way. I still feel somewhat hopeless about the fact that I will every communicate clearly. So, I feel I must remind anyone who is reading this Do not take language for granted because it really does play such a vital role in independence and making friends and learning. Much more than I think I ever realized. I find myself now, that if I am reading a book in English, I notice how quickly I can relate the letters into words and then comprehend. It is rather amazing. I must say. So, that's all the language advise for today.
Right, I recently found out that much more people read this than I thought. I assumed it was only my Mom, who checked up on it once in a while. But in fact, there are pleanty of family friends and school friends and people I have met as a kid and such are reading what I have to say about me trip. Which is AMAZING. Thank you so much. Because it is just so great that, I don't know...I can share my experience with all these people. So, THANK YOU.
But, with this new knowlage, I now find myself a little ashamed that I don't say more interesting stuff. :) Therefore, if anyone has a particular aspect of my life I don't explain or haven't spoken of, and that person wishes to know. - email me, my address is a part of my profile on here.
What else...
Because I was sick I didn't get to go see the new James Bond movie, well, New for Italia, I suppose not for Americans. So, hopefully this week.
I was going to explain about my love for butchers, but I don't really have time to do that this evening. So, next blog.
I have been invited to stay at my friend Hannah From New Zealand's host family house in the next few weeks, for a weekend. They live in Brescia, which is a smaller town about an hour by train away. So, if my host family will let me go, that will be great fun.
And my host family said that they think I can go with them to Rome or Venice during the Christmas holidays. Which is also VERY exciting for me.
