How to ride a wasp:

A made a miscommunication today when my host mother said that she killed a vesper. And I was like "con tu auto?, e un uomo?" (with your car, the man on it too?). And it took several minutes of explanation and finally high-pitched buzzing noises until I figured out that vesper is wasp. So really, she just killed a wasp. Later that day, I discovered that Italians are deathly afraid of bees. At least these Italians were. A bee flew into my class though the open window and people were throwing chairs at it and clapping chalkdust on their skin to confuse the bee and bunch of other seriously hilarious attempts.

I went to a main shopping street in Milano (looks similar to Times Square but without all the advertisements) called Buenos Aires with a girlfriend from school. I had a lot of fun with her, and jumbling up 2 languages in the process was inevitable.
I'm really exhausted from just a 4 hour week. But the amount of homework and then additional italian study takes a lot out of me. And I have heard that the processing of another language and translation in your head makes you very tired.
I was really indulgent today. It was a little 'memory day'. My mother made zucchini, which reminded me of this summer back home. I wore my jacket almost identical to J and addidas which reminded me of T. I wore my shipped over scarf (and proceeded to breath in the scent of it for about 10 minutes). It wasnt a sad memory day, it was just a 'let's think about them' day.

I went to an AFS intercultura party and met my counselor. He is very nice and is coming over for dinner next week. I really like the Intercultura hosted things because I get to see people who I met at orientation and new people who are from Italy and went to other places. So everyone knows what everyone else is going through, and I have found this very helpful and encouraging.

I had PE and hit every member of my team in the head with the volleyball as I was serving. Talk about a great first impression. My english teacher has me read paragraphs aloud in class and then my classmates marvel at 1. how easily I can speak, and 2. how red I become.
